Resolve to Plan Better in 2021

Dear Friends,

Like so many of you, I was relieved to bid 2020 farewell. With last year squarely in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look ahead to what should be a promising 2021. More than ever, this feels like a fresh start.

For those of you who make New Year’s resolutions, your 2021 goals may be different this year. After all, 2020 threw all kinds of adversity at us, from a pandemic to economic uncertainty to civil unrest. Losing weight, eating healthier and exercising more may be lower on your list of goals than in past years.

Pause to take stock of what matters most to you. At this point in time, creating a better, safer world for yourself and your loved ones is likely high on your priority list. If that is your goal, it’s time to think about planning, specifically estate planning that helps protect your loved ones and carries forward your family values. An estate plan is important to ensuring continuation of your legacy and reducing stress on your loved ones should you pass away or become incapacitated. Resolving to have your will, trust, and other estate planning documents prepared is something you can easily accomplish in 2021.

Although estate planning may sound like a daunting task, especially if you have never created one before, the good news is that you don’t have to go it alone. We are here to help. We will answer your questions, guide you through the process seamlessly, and do most of the heavy lifting. This is one resolution that won’t require you to break a sweat!

For more information, we encourage you to access this helpful information about the estate planning process on our website.

For our current clients, the new year is also an ideal time to review your existing estate plan. Please stay tuned for more information about that process in an upcoming newsletter.

Wishing you health and happiness in 2021!
