OUR HISTORY

The firm was founded in 2009 by Anna Eckert Byrne. Her decision to establish EBLLC stemmed from a desire to create estate plans that encompass more than just the transfer of tangible assets. It seemed to her that too much planning was solely focused on taxes. While taxes are an important component of any estate plan, the personal side of planning cannot be overlooked. People plan for those they love and care about first and foremost. The creation of the firm gave her the flexibility to create a process and team that helps clients incorporate & express their values through their plans with the lowest expense and tax impact possible.

In 2017, Anna published a book called A Widow’s Guide to help women who have lost a spouse through their first year. And in 2021, she followed it up by publishing The Inheritor’s Guide to provide a legal, financial, and emotional guide for client’s managing their parents’ estate.

“I was impressed by Anna’s depth of knowledge in estate planning options and taxes. She was very thoughtful as she guided me and helped me make certain decisions. I would highly recommend Eckert Byrne.”
