A Warm Welcome and A Sad Farewell

Dear Friends,

The changing seasons are also bringing exciting transformations to Eckert Byrne. We are thrilled to announce the addition of Attorney Timothy R. Weeks, J.D., LL.M (Taxation) to our estate planning team on October 1st! Tim has experience with high-net-worth families in crafting estate plans that meet each family’s goals, including drafting planning documents, gifting trusts, business succession, and special needs planning.

Tim has represented clients with matters involving the Massachusetts Department of Revenue and the United States Internal Revenue Service to resolve income tax and estate tax disputes. In light of the impending estate and income tax law changes, we are pleased to gain Tim’s experience to assist our clients in analyzing their estates. It is our goal to keep our clients as up to date as possible and utilize our services to help families navigate the shifting legislative landscape in Washington.

A Warm Welcome

Tim Weeks is a graduate of Boston College, Northeastern University of Law (J.D.), and Boston University School of Law (LL.M. in Taxation). He has practiced throughout the state of Massachusetts, from Lexington to Wellesley to Boston, and is excited to work with and meet our Cambridge community! Visit the Our Team page on our website to learn more about Tim.

A Bittersweet Farewell

Along with the addition of Attorney Weeks, we are sad to announce that Kristin N.G. Dzialo, our longtime estate planning attorney,  will be departing the firm on September 30th. We are working diligently to transition cases smoothly and we wish Kristin all the best!

A Smooth Transition

We are firmly committed to continuing to serve all past and current clients given our team approach. All open estate planning and maintenance client matters have been transitioned to me and I am working closely with Noah Evans to guide clients through this transition.  For our probate and trust administration clients, Eileen Curtin will continue to manage those cases and work closely with Julia Keefe.

If you have questions regarding the transition or would like to schedule a meeting  with Anna Byrne concerning any potential estate plan changes, please contact Noah at [email protected] to be added to her calendar.
