Associate Attorney

Eckert Byrne LLC, an estate planning law firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a full time Associate Attorney. Our firm focuses on building lasting relationships with our clients and being their trusted advisor for life. We are looking for a talented, experienced, energetic and caring Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join our team helping our high-achieving, high-net-worth clients. Our clients are people we care about a lot, and we need to find the right person to join our growing team.

About You:
You are experienced and comfortable creating & reviewing estate plans, preparing the necessary documents to fund the trust and align client’s assets with their estate plan, as well as meeting with clients and their advisors to build lasting relationships. You are eager to join a team environment where client service is of the utmost importance and you look forward to not only creating estate plans, but helping clients with their ongoing plan maintenance.

Primary Job Duties Include:
• Manage Probate and Trust Administration process; keep status reports current
• Prepare & Review estate planning & trust funding documents to ensure that the documents are appropriately drafted to meet the planning needs and recommendations for clients
• Conduct, review and document signing appointments with clients
• Review and Conduct annual maintenance program for trust based clients
• Respond to any client phone calls or e-mails
• Keep detailed notes of all meetings and phone calls and ensure that notes are maintained inside the client file
• Interact with paralegal and other team members in a cordial and professional manner
• Any other projects as assigned

MA licensed attorney; Minimum of 3-8 years expertise in the area of Estate Planning and Probate and Trust Administration. 
Knowledge of income, gift, and estate tax laws; 
Notary Public; 
Must be willing to complete a short work-preferences questionnaire, results are shared with you.
This is a full time position available immediately, but there is flexibility if someone prefers part/flex time and meets all the requirements. 
Compensation is based on experience, and includes excellent benefits. Our office is closed on major holidays and we offer paid vacation time and paid holidays after a 90-day trial period.
